HEALTH ENROLLMENT

Thank you for visiting! HealthbyMel will not be participating in the private health insurance market for 2018. Three of the five insurance carriers will not be providing coverage next year. The carriers leaving the market are Anthem, IU Health Plans, and MDWise. The two remaining carriers, Ambetter by Centene and Caresource,  will allow enrollment directly from the healthcare.gov website.

Remember, if you are on Medicare or have group insurance, this will not affect you or your coverage.  Contact us for more information about either of those needs.

Thanks again. It has been my pleasure to help each and every one of you!

Sincerely,

Melanie Nemacheck
HealthbyMel

What does this mean for you?

You may be one of the 76,000+ Hoosiers losing your health insurance December 31, 2017.  You will have one place to see your options for individual health insurance: healthcare.gov.  From there, you will choose between Ambetter by Centene and Caresource. Both are direct enrollment carriers meaning you will enroll directly from the healthcare.gov website.

Do you have options?

You may be considering an alternative to health insurance. If you are, a Health Share membership may be for you.  These are NOT insurance. Rather, they are alternatives to health insurance, and you will NOT pay the penalty for not having insurance.

Perhaps you work for a small company that does not offer group benefits to their employees.  HealthbyMel does have small group options that may be a good fit for you and your employer. For more information on small group coverage, click HERE.

If you wish to contact your lawmakers and voice your concerns about your 2018 health insurance options, you can find more information HERE.
